How Can I hook My HP desktop to my 48″ Polaroid LCD TV?

My TV has the VGA input but when i hook the desktop to it and turn the power on it loads like its suppose to but before it can fully boot up the TV goes to Blue screen and says no signal. how can i fix this were i can use my TV as my monitor?

0kay. I really want to buy the hp touch smart 600-1140 desktop. But I heard that its touch screen is not reliable. If some one is or was an owner of a touch smart desktop can he tell me if its touchscreen is reliable? I don’t want to buy it and want to buy another one in a year.

My parents are finally getting pissed off with the very old Dell that we have and say it’s time for a new desktop. So should we get an HP and risk being pissed off with Windows again… or spend some extra money to get an iMac? My parents will be using it for general computing while I’ll be using it for my music, videos, possibly games, etc. (Yes I know about the whole game thing with mac’s so you don’t need to take that into consideration) thanks.

I got what came in the box from costco. I’m not sure what this one black box I got does, and I’m wondering if that’s whats keeping me from the internet. It’s connected to my computer via USB port.
