I bought mine at Sams Club where I had to return it and I had the same day. I have at home, looked out it had never been opened, but it was. The ink heads were missing and the black ink had been opened and resealed with tape. I think HP has a lot of returns and recycling things are. What?. . . Back to looking for a good printer.

I thought I’d be able to scan legal paper companies – wrong!
Must be left on because? ? very slow to do anything very quickly if off. The black print? very strong. A good price for features.

The printer? was purchased for our small office of 10 users. In particular, I bought a version with a wired Ethernet connection as I found on WiFi printing to be much less reliable.
After several weeks of use, I am very happy with the purchase .
Setup: This went very smoothly after extraction, attaching the power and ethernet connections. The printer? properly configured an IP address using DHCP server on our network. I then downloaded the ‘Dirver only’ bundle install drivers directly from HP support website (never used the CD that came with the printer). HP provides both MacOSX and Win7 (32 and 64 bit) drivers. All the machines correctly identified the network printer and installed the drivers properly without problems / errors.
Scanning: We use the printer to scan business documents in PDF format via the network. The leaves in combination with Nitro PDF Professional (PDF creation software) works perfectly for scanning long documents to PDF for archiving. This? an incredible time and labor savings.
Print: Nothing spectacular, but then again we only print photos or business documents glossy brochures. Speed? print, though fine.

I just bought this printer about a week ago. So far I am very satisfied. All functions seem to work well and are easy to understand. I’m not tech savvy at all and was very easy to install. simple instructions. ? basically plug in and does all the work for you. Software? was very easy to install on my laptop that has Windows Vista. The printer comes with a disc for Windows 7, which I hope to buy more? soon. I hope that this printer continues to work so? as happens today, you see?. I did not buy it from Amazon, I bought at Staples. They had an agreement that if you sold an old printer, you have $ 50. 00 off the new one. I got my piece of junk in Kodak’s business. I could write a book on the problems we had with the Kodak. Can not? never buy something that has the Kodak name on it. However, so far very pleased with this HP 8500. I bought this model for the money than the options. I could not see spending the extra money for the few extra options? the wireless model. Hope this helps, happy shopping.

Pro HP Officejet 8500 All-in-One Printer
I used HP Pro for the last eight years in my home office in January 2010 and got upgraded to the HP OJ Pro 8500 Printer all in one. These are my thoughts: When you install the fax that I use with my PC not finish due to a bad phone cord. Finally, after changing to more? different phone cables and charge the fax finally passed the test. All printer features are great relationships scan and fax but I have problems with the paper tray and print. Or directly from PC or as a support along it not to? pi? copies. The problem? pull the paper from the tray and the printer told me that I’m out of paper. My corrections to adjust the paper and the addition or removal of pi? not? correct. If you do more? Copies shall we? power to set the child.
