i am doing a system recovery on my hp desktop and need to know if i need to take out wireless usb adapter?

My computer is an hp desktop with windows vista home premium and i need to know if i can leave the wireless adapter in when i do the system recovery! I cannot plug into the cable for the internet so i use this to go wireless! I am using my recovery discs that i made when i got the computer new and it told me to make them! and boy am i glad i did now! haha
